F10® Germicidal Wound Spray with Insecticide is a ready-to-use spray, ideal for preventing fly-strike (myiasis) in most animals*, particularly rabbits, guinea pigs, tortoises, and other pets which may be outside in warmer months.

Use for:

  • the general protection of most animals* against fly-strike
  • wound treatment, whilst providing added protection against insects
  • eliminating infestations following fly-strike

Use in conjunction with good husbandry to help keep your pets safe from fly-strike.

This preparation combines the excellent properties of the F10® Antiseptic Solution, which is proven effective against bacteria and fungi, with the added insecticidal activity of Cypermethrin (0.25%) and Piperonyl Butoxide (1.25%)

The F10® Germicidal Wound Spray with Insecticide is available in 100ml and 500ml bottles.
500ml bottles to ONLY be used on animals larger than 5kg body weight - do not use on smaller animals.

USING F10® GERMICIDAL WOUND SPRAY WITH INSECTICIDE

Fly-strike prevention with small animals

  • Apply 1-2 atomiser spray pump actions from the 100ml bottle to a local area of intact and non-inflamed skin. WARNING: Do not exceed a cumulative total of 2 spray pump actions /kg of body weight.
  • Repeat as necessary at 4-5 day intervals, or as recommended by your veterinarian, however the solution is water-soluble so should be reapplied if the animal is exposed to rain.

Fly-strike treatment

  • If you have a case of fly-strike then always contact your veterinary surgery.
  • In rabbits and other small pets: Apply one initial application of 1-2 atomiser spray pump actions from the 100ml bottle onto the affected area. WARNING: Do not exceed 2 spray pump actions/kg of body weight.
  • Large animals (over 5kg): Apply one initial application of 1-2 trigger spray pump actions onto the affected area. WARNING: Do not exceed 2 spray pump actions/kg of body weight.

Wound Treatment

  • Large animals (over 5kg): Apply 1-2 trigger spray pump actions from the 500ml bottle per wound, but do not exceed 5 spray pump actions per animal. WARNING: Do not exceed a cumulative total of 2 trigger spray actions /kg of body weight.
  • Repeat as necessary at 4-5 day intervals, or as recommended by your veterinarian, however the solution is water-soluble so should be reapplied if the animal is bathed.
